Immigrant as an Investor<br />
(in relation to the company established in Brazil)<br />

Immigrant<br />
An individual who intends, with his/her own external resources, to invest in a legal<br />
entity in Brazil, in a project with a potential to generate job positions or income in<br />
the country. The investment must be carried out by the foreigner applying for the visa<br />
and must be paid in into the Company's capital stocks<br />
Investor:<br />
(i) own resources of external origin and at least BRL 500,000, or<br />
Requirements<br />
(ii) when the investment amount is lower than BRL 500,000 and provided that it is not<br />
lower than BRL 150,0000.00 for the entrepreneur who intends to settle in Brazil aim at<br />
investing in innovation activities, basic or applied research, of a scientific or<br />
technological nature<br />
Permit extent<br />
Investor’s residence permit will last for an indefinite period<br />
Immigrant as a worker with employment engagement<br />

Immigrant<br />
A residence permit may be requested from immigrants who come to work in Brazil<br />
under an employment contract to perform any role in the Company, except for<br />
management and/or general representation of the Company.<br />
Prove of compatibility between the immigrant's qualifications / professional<br />
background and the activities to be carried out in the country by means of<br />
certificates or statements from the entities in which they have carried out activities,<br />
indicating compliance with Law specific requirements, such as 12-year education and<br />
Requirements<br />
4-year professional experience in any occupation which does not require a technical<br />
or higher level. Exceptionally, depending on the activity to be carried out in Brazil, it<br />
will not be necessary to meet several technical requirements set forth by Law.<br />
Hiring company must prove that it has already engaged 2/3 of Brazilian employees<br />
for every 1/3 foreign workers transferred to Brazil. Such “2/3 rule” must reflect the<br />
benefits paid on the company’s payroll for its employees.<br />
