Company is competent to apply for a residence permit to a legal entity that: (i) is a<br />

recipient of technology transfer services; (ii) is part of the same economic group as<br />

the foreign company employing the immigrant who provides services, simultaneously,<br />

to several companies receiving technology transfer services in Brazil; or (iii) is<br />

an intermediary for the foreign company employing the immigrant, due to a contract<br />

with an express exclusive covenant in Brazilian territory.<br />

Up to 1 year, renewal permitted. The immigrant may be granted a new residence<br />

permit, subject to a maximum period of 1 year, upon detailed justification from the<br />

applicant company regarding the need to continue providing services without an<br />

employment relationship.<br />

An individual without employment in Brazil linked to a transnational economic<br />

Immigrant<br />

group, whose headquarters is a Brazilian company, which performs a technicaloperational<br />

or administrative activity in a civil or commercial society of the same<br />

group or economic conglomerate with the purpose of training and assimilating the<br />

business culture and management methodology of the Brazilian matrix, as well as<br />

allowing the exchange and sharing of experiences inherent to the role performed by<br />

professionals.<br />

Requirements<br />

The requesting entity must be a Brazilian parent company of a transnational<br />

economic group, and must inform the Ministry of Justice the immigrant’s removal<br />

who withdraws from the planned professional training.<br />

2 years, non-renewable<br />
