New enterprises<br />
The new C.Vale Weaned Piglet Production Unit (UPD) began operating<br />
in <strong>2023</strong>. The 31,250 square meter project, built in the Floresta district,<br />
in the interior of Palotina (PR), has the capacity to house 5,000 sows,<br />
with an annual production of 160,000 piglets. The new structure,<br />
air-conditioned and automated, with four gestation sheds and one<br />
maternity shed, also includes biodigesters with a production capacity<br />
of 5,700 KWh/day.<br />
