713 Glenmorangie 1987 Margaux Cask
Northern Highlands, distillery bottling
Boisdale
Zesty orange, apple and ginger wine notes flood through before deeper hints of spicy
black pepper and cinnamon intertwine to give an overall combination of boldness and
subtlety that perfectly captures the spirited essence of Scotland and the passionate soul
of France.
753 Glenury Royal 36yrs
Eastern highland ,distillery bottling
The nose reveals a nice freshness through pleasant floral notes and hints of unripe
fruits (green apple) In the palate, a mix of sweetness and acidity. Tastes like sour fruits
with sugar. Green apple and honey. Strange association. After a while some very light
woody notes appear. Interesting but not transcendental mouth. The finish is rather
long and pleasant, but no exaggeration neither.
817 Glenrothes Select Reserve
Speyside, bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd
Select Reserve is the essence of all that is The Glenrothes in its early prime. Laden
with ripe fruits, citrus, vanilla, and a hint of spice – this savouring, fresh single malt is
characteristically complex with a deliciously creamy texture on the palate
637 Glenrothes 1991
Speyside, bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd
The nose has a leathery character. On the palate is creamy, with caramel, boiled
sweets, and apples. Lovely, and opens up well with water.
816 Glenrothes 1985
Speyside, bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd
The nose has orangey marmalade and some cedar wood. Also dark chocolate with
marzipan centre. On the palate, lovely, syrupy and full of flavours. More orange and
marzipan. Stunning!
636 Glenrothes 1994
Speyside, distillery bottling
The nose is of fruit gums, fresh apple and a touch of gorse. It has the richness of lemon
shortbread and custard tart. On the palate the youthful vigor comes to the fore; the
1994 Vintage is tangy and lively with hints of plum jam, macadamia nuts and pepper
dust. Overall, it is a stimulating dram with lots of depth – distinctively punchy on the
palate and distinctly different.
795 Glentauchers 1979
Speyside, Highlands
Nose: Hazelnut. Light esteriness (pear-like). Rather light and somewhat sweet (some
burnt notes), fruity and dusty. Lightly oaky, almond oil, some cereal, hint of peat.
Taste: Smooth, soft, creamy, some marzipan, nutty and peaty
801 Glinne Parras 12yrs
Speyside, Spirimode Distillery
This is a gutsy dram with smoke and spice and dried fruit notes
727 Highland Park 12yrs
Fruity sweetness with sherry and coffee beans, accompanied by a hint of peat, on the
