The Modem <strong>Inter</strong>face Unit provides the necessary link<br />

between a modem and <strong>Satchwell</strong> Networking controllers on<br />

a remote site, when using Satchnet Pro Networking<br />

Software. An RS232 input is provided for connection to a<br />

modem on a Wide Area Network (WAN). The MIU is then<br />

able to be connected (via its RS422/485 link) to upto 31<br />

Networking controllers.<br />

• Allows a further 32 Networking controllers to be<br />

connected, making a maximum of 63 on a single LAN<br />

This Intelligent Advanced Controller is designed for use in<br />

small and large buildings such as office blocks, hotels and<br />

schools. The IAC has a stand alone capability, and may be<br />

configured from a central computer over the serial link.<br />

The IAC has pre-sets to control common applications such as<br />

terminal unit control, VAV and zone control. In addition the<br />

controller can be customised to work on other less common<br />

applications.<br />

The Satchnet software is used to program and monitor the<br />

IAC controllers.<br />

• Resistive inputs can be used for <strong>Satchwell</strong> “T” type<br />

temperature sensors, RPW remote setting units,<br />

Ohms and Light sensors (NORP-12 Light Dependent<br />

Resistor (LDR)).<br />
