The Men's Soccer season<br />

has been described<br />

as very challenging. As<br />

like all o<strong>the</strong>r university<br />

teams, <strong>the</strong> soccer team<br />

also entered a new conference,<br />

<strong>the</strong> North Atlantic<br />

Conference. Coach<br />

Loren Kline described<br />

<strong>the</strong> team as being "y° un g<br />

but competitive." Over<br />

<strong>the</strong> exent <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> season<br />

<strong>the</strong> team improved<br />

gre<strong>at</strong>ly. Kline said th<strong>at</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong>y "became competitive<br />

and extended most<br />

opponents into <strong>the</strong> closing<br />

minutes." The captains<br />

this season were<br />

Mike Iskra, Cheyney<br />

Meadows, and Mark<br />

Puican.<br />

Kline said th<strong>at</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

most exciting game <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> season <strong>was</strong> against<br />

Bucknell. Bucknell <strong>was</strong><br />

an old ECC opponent<br />

and <strong>the</strong> Hens be<strong>at</strong> <strong>the</strong>m<br />

5-1. The Hens did have<br />

some disappointing loses.<br />

They lost seven<br />

games by a one point<br />

margin and two <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m<br />

in overtime. The Hens<br />

finished <strong>the</strong> season 7th<br />

in <strong>the</strong> NAC.<br />

Nick Liparini stopped <strong>the</strong> ball from<br />

reaching his opponent.
