<strong>Delaware</strong> swimmers awaited <strong>the</strong> sound<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> gun to start <strong>the</strong> race.<br />

The Men's Swimming<br />

Team had a gre<strong>at</strong> season<br />

this year. The team finished<br />

second in <strong>the</strong><br />

North Atlantic Conference<br />

Championship<br />

which <strong>was</strong> hosted by <strong>the</strong><br />

Hens. They also finished<br />

13th <strong>at</strong> <strong>the</strong> ECAC<br />

Championship, which<br />

<strong>was</strong> held <strong>at</strong> SUNY Col-<br />

148 Men's Swimming<br />

lege in Buffalo. The team<br />

ended <strong>the</strong>ir season with<br />

an overall record <strong>of</strong> 5-7.<br />

This season's captains<br />

were P<strong>at</strong> Mead and Jeff<br />

Richards. The team will<br />

lose seven seniors this<br />

year which could have a<br />

pr<strong>of</strong>ound effect on next<br />

year's team.<br />

Andy Palmer and<br />

Clint Tracy proved to be<br />

key players this season.<br />

Palmer won <strong>the</strong> 200m<br />

breast stroke seven times<br />

in <strong>the</strong> first ten meets.<br />

Tracy won <strong>the</strong> 50m freestyle<br />

eight times in <strong>the</strong><br />

first ten meets.<br />

Jim Francis raced to be <strong>the</strong> first to<br />

tag <strong>the</strong> wall and add <strong>more</strong> points to<br />

<strong>Delaware</strong>'s score.
