A FASHION REINVENTION - Cookie Lee

my life, and I’d never been to a home show. I went home
and called the lady whose information was on the back
of the catalog and said, “I want to do this.” I signed up
and had my first Cookie Lee show in my own home at my
dining room table. I sold $ 1,295 dollars in jewelry without
letting go of a single piece! I didn’t know any better yet. It
was really love at first sight, and I never looked back! I was
so sure about my commitment that I ordered a license
plate that said “COOKI L” on it right away.
A Fun loving personAlitY
I am from the Mediterranean country of Turkey. People
there are very passionate and fun loving. I come from
a background where I didn’t have much but there was
a tremendous amount of love. My mother was such a
positive, strong and loving lady. I think I get my strength,
positivity, and always having love in my heart for
everybody in this business because of her. So if anyone is
curious, no, it’s not my accent that makes me sell! I don’t
work that angle. Perhaps my crazy personality helps my
sales. However, such a personality is not necessary for
success in this business. I’m a firm believer in that! Love
of this jewelry line and my excitement about it is what
truly sells it for me, not the personality. I try to be the
Consultant I’d want to have in my house, that’s all. I am
not afraid of being goofy. I go around with my tags on
my jewelry, and I don’t care if that makes me look silly if
it helps me sell jewelry.
eXcitement From the heArt
I am simply somebody who is full of love for EVERYTHING
you can think of! I am passionate about life and my job
with Cookie Lee. I live and breathe this business and that
carries over to my hostesses, Downline Consultants,
potential recruits and especially my customers! My
excitement is so overwhelming and it’s not fake, it’s what
I feel from my heart. I believe we have the best product
with the best price range, plus Cookie and John’s heart
and vision to lead the way so I never have to worry about
competition. My best advice is to fall in love with your
product and your company and sales will follow. It’s
always about the jewelry for me, always! Just let your
passion come out for it!

Everyone needs Cookie Lee in their life; they just don’t
know it yet, and it’s my job to tell them why! People are
not walking around thinking, “I need to have a Cookie
Lee jewelry show today.” I am a big believer that every
woman needs to buy Cookie Lee jewelry or have a show.
I tell them that they need Cookie Lee and then I list the
reasons why. I tell them that, “Even if you put a single
piece of Cookie Lee jewelry on you’ll look hotter and
feel better about yourself!” Jewelry has the potential to
change the way a woman feels. I say, “I don’t care if you
feel awful that day, you’ll look hot!” I believe in the power
of jewelry and how it can transform the way a woman
looks and feels in her daily life.
plAYing With JeWelrY
Home shows are what I enjoy most in this business, I love
them! When you have a handful of women that are there
just to see your jewelry, the opportunities are endless.
This is where the excitement of this jewelry line spreads
to others like wildfire, passion is so contagious. I try and
create a fun atmosphere at my shows and people respond
so well to that. I am a big believer in putting jewelry
on people, and I insist that they do just that. Always
encourage customers to accessorize based on eye, skin
and hair color. This opens up new doors for them, such
as trying gold jewelry instead of silver. I choose pieces
that are going to look fantastic on them and invite other
guests’ feedback. Once they “oooh and aaah”, I can smell
a sale a mile away! This is why I insist that everyone try
their jewelry on, to ensure their satisfaction before they
leave the show.
stAYing motivAteD
My love for this business and the home shows keeps me
going. It wasn’t a financial reason why I started with
Cookie Lee, but it became a financial need two years into
it. For a while Cookie Lee was the “bread and butter” for
my family, including my husband Alan of 22 years and
sons Jeremy (16) and Justin (11). During that time, I
learned that this job can provide for a family of four and
that was a huge revelation for me! Although there was
a greater need for income when my husband was ill and
having business difficulties, I still feel the need to bring
money to my family and be there for my kids when I am
needed at home. That flexibility was a huge motivator in
the beginning and it still keeps me going today!
WhAt’s neXt
I love that Cookie is so fashion forward! Because of her
and her emphasis on trends, I have become more fashion
conscious than ever before. It used to take me a long
time to try a new trend. Now, I am so into what is new
and hot, and I’m excited for Cookie to bring these styles
to us each season! I can’t wait for our first-ever Fashion
Week and to bring that energy back to the east coast. I
am looking forward to growing with my team this year
and continue to watch them develop and blossom, which
will be my ultimate joy! To know that I had something to
do with other people’s success is an unparalleled feeling.
I want to continue to sell, earn Dream Getaway Trips
with my supportive husband, have fun at my shows, gain
amazing friendships through Cookie Lee, grow, share,
inspire and party with my Cookie sisters!
