How you stay a
“Jewelry expert” each season!
I’m subscribed to Tiffany & Co., Nordstrom, Macy’s, Spiegel and Victoria’s Secret emails.
This way, when I receive email blasts regarding their jewelry sales or new items, I print
them out and share them with my hostesses and guests at shows. They can then see for
themselves how “in the now” Cookie Lee is with current fashion trends at incredibly
low and affordable prices that fit everyone’s budget!
weNdie Madrid, Unit Manager II, Mission Viejo, California
I purchase fashion magazines like Bazaar, In Style,
Glamour and People Style Watch. I read through,
making mental notes of the upcoming trends. Then
when Cookie comes out with something similar,
I cut out the magazine pages and set them in my jewelry
trays next to the matching jewelry. Customers always want to
accessorize like the pages of fashion magazines.
BoNNie oroNa Executive Director I • Harbor City, California
While at my shows, I try to ask women in three
different age groups what their favorites are, and
what are their likes and dislikes. I especially like to
talk to the younger girls. They give me the best ideas
on tips, trends and their style.
teri BriLLHart Director • Duarte, California
Staying informed of the latest jewelry trends
helps me upsell. I consistently review the Cookie
Connection to see the Cookie Tips, visit the local
showroom to view jewelry tips on display and attend
Fashion Week to see the Cookie Lee models on the runway.
aNa FraNkLiN Executive Director II • Hawthorne, California
I watch my girl friends! I have five of the most
fashion forward and trendy friends, from the hair
to the shoes. I ask my friends what they think about
the jewelry and which items will sell the best—they
are brutally honest! My friends and my love for fashion are
what keep my business alive.
eBoNNe LawreNCe Consultant • York, Pennsylvania
attending convention has helped me grow into
the jewelry expert I am today. In addition to all the
wonderful training sessions, we get to feel and try
on ALL the new jewelry. Plus, just looking around
at all the creative ways and combinations that fellow Cookie
sisters wore was bonus training!
JeNN SMytHe Senior Consultant • Honolulu, Hawaii
Every time a new catalog comes out, I look at our
competitors’ catalogs to see what styles they are
showing so I can share with customers how Cookie
is right-on with the fashion trends and makes a
better quality piece of jewelry compared to all others! This is a
huge plus when comparing the different looks!
LiSHa pLatta Unit Manager II • Corona, California
Compliments give me insights into the preferences
of family, friends, co-workers and the many other
people I come into contact with throughout my
daily activities. I mentally make a note of feedback
for future encounters so I will have extra jewelry that appeals
to the people who complimented my jewelry.
LorraiNe CHaMBerS Consultant • Costa Mesa, California
Each season when Cookie Lee releases her new
jewelry, I surf websites with fashion jewelry like
Nordstrom, Dillard’s and Saks Fifth Avenue. Then
I make a jewelry trend scrapbook to show my
customers the similarities of Cookie Lee jewelry with celebrity
and high-end department store jewelry. I show that Cookie
Lee’s jewelry is just as stylish, but much more affordable.
Carrie Beaird Unit Manager II • Jefferson, georgia
Just listening to my clients and being a people
watcher has helped me over the years. It may
sound simple, but trends are happening right under
our noses. By taking a step back and watching how
women are wearing their clothes, cutting their hair and
accessorizing, I find it simple to fit each and every piece of
Cookie’s jewelry into every day!
