The British brokering and ship service group Clarkson has set aside a further GBP eight million on top of GBP six million provisions last year against claims for USD 67 million from the Russian shipowners Sovcomflot and <strong>No</strong>voship. Clarkson has been dragged into a fight between the Russian companies and Sovcomflot’s former managing director vd Dimitri Skarga and the Russian shipowner Yuri Nikitin. In addition, Sovcomflot has filed claims for USD 71 million, alledging that Clarkson has valuated vessels improperly in a related case. Clarkson has denied this and has nor made any provisions against this claim. Deep Sea Supply sells AHTS ssg-göteborg. <strong>No</strong>rwegian Deep Sea Supply is to sell the newbuilding AHTS vessel Sea Wolverine to TMM, Mexico. The gross selling price is USD 22 million, Deep Sea Supply’s profit from the sale will be USD 6 million. The Sea Wolverine will be delivered from ABG Shipyard, India, in the first half of May, 2008. Greek Delta Tanker recently ordered three VLCCs from Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea and agreed to pay record high USD 156 million per unit.
