The term Controller refers to the device that controls your RAID. To access the<br />

controller, click on the Controller icon in Tree View.<br />

Controller Information<br />

The Information tab displays with information about the controller.<br />

• Product Name – The <strong>Promise</strong> product name for this controller.<br />

• BIOS Version – Version number of the controller’s BIOS.<br />

• Driver Version – Version number of the controller’s software driver.<br />

• Memory Size – Size of the controller’s onboard memory in MB.<br />

• Maximum Number of Ports – The number of ports on the controller.<br />

• Maximum Physical Drives – The maximum number of physical (disk)<br />

drives the controller can support.<br />

• Maximum Logical Drives – The maximum number of logical drives (arrays)<br />

the controller can support.<br />
