Reverting to No <strong>OST</strong> <strong>User</strong><br />
Reverting to No <strong>OST</strong> <strong>User</strong><br />
To remove the <strong>OST</strong> user setting so that there is no <strong>OST</strong> user, use the ost reset user-name<br />
command. You can execute the command while <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Domain</strong> <strong>OST</strong> is enabled. For example:<br />
# ost reset user-name<br />
<strong>OST</strong> user set to none. Previous user: ost<br />
Displaying the <strong>OST</strong> <strong>User</strong><br />
Enabling <strong>OST</strong><br />
To show the current <strong>OST</strong> user, enter the ost show user-name command:<br />
# ost show user-name<br />
<strong>OST</strong> user: ost<br />
Note The command requires an existing <strong>OST</strong> user.<br />
An administrative user can use the ost enable command to create and export the<br />
/backup/ost directory. For example:<br />
# ost enable<br />
<strong>OST</strong> enabled.<br />
If the user changes, the change takes effect at the next ost enable command.<br />
If the UID and GID change, the <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Domain</strong> system updates all images and LSUs at the next ost<br />
enable command.<br />
Disabling <strong>OST</strong><br />
An administrative user can disable <strong>OST</strong> for the <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Domain</strong> system:<br />
# ost disable<br />
Is <strong>OST</strong> Is Enabled or Disabled?<br />
Use the ost status operation to see whether <strong>OST</strong> is enabled or disabled. For example:<br />
# ost status<br />
