Setting failover as the selection criterion ensures that a backup job does not fail if the storage unit to<br />
which it is directed fails. NetBackup chooses another storage unit in the same group to finish the<br />
job.<br />
Tip When grouping <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Domain</strong> <strong>OST</strong> storage units on the NetBackup media server, set the<br />
selection criterion to failover.<br />
Duplicating Images (NBU Workaround)<br />
When using the NetBackup graphical user interface to duplicate images, be sure to select Media ID<br />
in the Search for images panel of the Search tab.<br />
Setting Network Time-outs on the NetBackup System<br />
Backup and restore jobs often take a long time to complete. The <strong>OST</strong> plug-in can recover from<br />
temporary network interruptions, but the operating system on the NetBackup system might<br />
terminate the job prematurely if NetBackup time-outs are set too low.<br />
