3 Shorter waits for cancer treatment Radiation treatment within four weeks of first specialist assessment and<br />

In December 100% of eligible patients were treated within the four week<br />

target timeline. As at 31 October Radiation Oncology had delivered to the<br />

target for 6<strong>15</strong> consecutive days. There is a concern that introducing new<br />

technology may transiently reduce capacity. The service is developing<br />

contingency plans to avoid this.<br />

beginning discussion with key clinicians on areas of focus for longer term<br />
