3 Shorter waits for cancer treatment Radiation treatment within four weeks of first specialist assessment and
medical oncology within agreed DAP timelines
In December 100% of eligible patients were treated within the four week
target timeline. As at 31 October Radiation Oncology had delivered to the
target for 615 consecutive days. There is a concern that introducing new
technology may transiently reduce capacity. The service is developing
contingency plans to avoid this.
