Of all the previous residencies and workshops
I have been a part of, none have focussed so
particularly on the sphere of work itself. I have
found this residency especially interesting
because of Cuba’s socialist economic model and
how it contrasts with the capitalist system of my
native country. In fact, this was the very reason
behind my application to Batiscafo initially.

De entre todos los proyectos que he realizado en mis
pasadas estancias sentía que me quedaba pendi-
ente trabajar con la esfera laboral, ámbito que me
interesaba mucho investigar y trabajar aquí, por las
diferencias que hay entre un modelo socialista como
el de Cuba y mi contexto natal donde se rige por las
leyes capitalistas. Esta fue la motivación por la
cual solicité la residencia.
