reducibles.
Los nutrimentos N, P, K, Ca, Mg y S, en su
forma fácilmente asimilable tienden a disminuir
It was made a chemical and physical study
of some volcanic soils near México city.
All of them are very rich in availablc Fe,
Mn, Zn, Cu, B and Mo, Available N, P, K,
Ca, Mg and S, show a tendeney to diminish from
the plain soils to the mountain ones.
In general available nitrogen and phosphorus
are found in defficient amounts. Available
potassium, calcium and magnesium are present
I II
in sufficient amounts. except in the mountain
soils wehere the rain is higher and stronger.
The organic matter content of these soils is
very low. The reaction is alcaline in the plain
soils and acid in the mountain soils antl all of
them are free of soluble salts in excess.
The texture of these soils also show a change
from the plain soils where are heavier to the
mountain soils where are lighter.
