sus mundos was curated by Juan Rafael
Coronel Rivera, Nadia Ugalde Gómez,
and MAP Director, Agustín Arteaga,
who also wrote some of the text that
are included in the bilingual catalogue
that accompanied the exhibitions.

Cultural Activities
The cultural activities support itinerant
exhibitions and the permanent collection of
the Museo de Arte de Ponce. Education is
present in all the initiatives we coordinate,
from more formal events such as
conferences, workshops, and movie-forums
to concerts.
We started the year with the Family
Day on Three Kings Day. The Museum
received 1,699 visitors, of which 727
were children, who came to participate
in an extraordinary educational
program and, of course, to greet with
the characters that impersonate the
Three Kings from Juana Díaz.
In February, we celebrated the opening
of the exhibition La memoria en el papel:
Libros y estampas de la colección Franz
Mayer. Later this month, we had an
open house to celebrate the birthday
of the Museum’s founder, Don Luis A.
Ferré, of which 452 visitors took part.
We coordinate activities for people of
all ages. One example was a gathering
of university students, professors
and artists, such as Arnaldo Roche
Rabell, Charles Juhasz y Antonio
Martorell at the Museum’s Balconies,
for a discussion on Fabián Marcaccio’s
mural. Other events included nine
movie-forums, which were presented
by cinematographer José Artemio
Torres, all relating to exhibitions held
at the museum, such as La memoria
en el papel: Libros y estampas de la
colección Franz Mayer and Frida Kahlo
y sus mundos, among others.
We also celebrated Family Sundays,
which counted with the participation of
renowned artist Antonio Martorell. These
events were an excellent alternative to
enjoy and learn about art with the
family.
Music, a much expected aspect of
our cultural program, counted with
the presentation of the Classical Music
