Figure 2. Outgoing students sent by the Faculty of Economics
and Social Sciences (ADE) (as % of all mobility at both
campuses) by type of mobility and by academic year.
The Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences has 48 bilateral
agreements. In short, there are 8 agreements with universities
in the United States, 4 in the United Kingdom, 3 in Canada, 2 in
Australia and 1 in Ireland. In the United States, UIC Barcelona
has an agreement with the prestigious Berkley University, where
our students can go for one semester, thanks in part to the study
grant provided by UIC Barcelona. A total of 10 ADE students
have already gone to Berkeley (21% from other faculties). ADE
has agreements with universities in Asia (4 in South Korea, 1 in
Hong Kong, 1 in Taiwan, 1 in the Philippines) and South America
(4 in Mexico, 4 in Chile, 3 in Argentina, 3 in Peru, and others).

Under Erasmus+, our faculty has agreements with 32
universities. Specifically, the majority (13 agreements) are with
German universities, 5 with Italian, 2 with French and 2 with
Finnish universities. In Spain, ADE has a SICUE (exchange
system for Spanish universities) agreement with the University
of Navarra.

Double bachelor’s degrees. Our faculty has two strategical
international partners with whom we offer international double
bachelor’s degrees in different modalities: (1) The Politecnico di
Turino in Italy, and (2) Birkbeck, University of London in the UK.
The Politecnico di Turino, a renowned institution in Italy,
stands among the largest and the oldest, consistently ranking
among the top universities in Italy and Europe. ADE offers
double bachelor’s degrees and double master’s degrees
with the Politecnico di Turino. Since 2015, ADE has received
approximately 500 incoming students from Turin and sent about
200 students to Turin. The strength of this partnership is evident
in the ongoing trend as seen in Figure 5.
