Birkbeck, University of London, is public research university,
located in the vibrant centre of the UK capital. It traces its roots
back to the early 19th century and as part of the University of
London, it shares the University’s academic standards and
awards University of London degrees. The first UIC students
joined the double bachelor’s degree programme in the
2019/2020 academic year. Subsequently, over 30 more students
have taken advantage of this opportunity.
COIL. At the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, we
work hard to provide an inclusive international experience. A
way to get international study experience without leaving your
home is the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)
methodology, which brings students around the world into
one virtual classroom. An increasing number of our teaching
staff is adopting this methodology and we have an established
relationship with California State University, a partner institution
with whom we run this programme at UIC Barcelona.
