What’s up at RMS? . Interview
What would the consequences be for the diplomas and graduates
of the two schools?
GR : As Yves Bénard has mentioned, the alumni network would then
be made up of more than 40 000 people, present all over the world,
in every field of activity, in every type of company and organisation,
which would be a wonderful asset for our graduates and for the different
institutions. Already, each of the two alumni associations offers a
whole package of services to the graduates of their group. With the
merger they would be able to offer even more, and eventually amalgamate,
making a new, even stronger association.
As for our diplomas, the fact that more students would obtain certain
diplomas could only increase their visibility, both in France and
abroad. e merger would not affect the quality of the teaching we
offer, and so the value of our graduates could only improve. And in
the business world as a whole their reputation would certainly
increase.
What ambitions do you have for the new structure?
GR : RMS and RBS are already two schools with excellent positions
in terms of quality in the rankings: as a reminder, both schools belong
to the world’s 25 leading management schools, according to the
Financial Times. We hope that the new group would do even better!
YB : We hope that the new structure would become one of the key
players in Management training and research at a global level!
And concretely, today?
YB : Mixed working groups have already been in operation for several
months. ey are working towards a definition of what the new group
might be.
GR : Our respective boards and our staff representatives are updated
and called on as and when necessary concerning the progress of the
project. We are going forward determinedly, rapidly, but not in haste. ⚐
