Thymo glabrescenti-Phlometum armeniaca
Kaya & Ketenoğlu ass. nov. (Table 7)
Holotype: relevé 63, between Ovabağ-
Viranşehir yolu, South of Bedro plateau, 9 km,
Lat: 37o 34’ 477’’ N, Lon: 039o 52’ 709’’ E,
1470 m, cover 70%, size of sample plot: 50 m2 .
e association deploys in all directions and
it was identified in east of the study area, 9 km
south of Bedro Plateau on the road between
Ovabağ and Viranşehir and at an altitude of
1460-1475 m. e reaction of the soil is
slightly asidic (pH 6.4) and the soil is clayloamy.

between 5 o -10 o slopes. e association is on
volcanic bedrock. Phlomis armeniaca Willd. is
dominant on the physiognomy of the association.
It is an endemic species and Irano-
Turanian element. Although it is wide spread
in Turkey, it is especially seen in Central Anatolia.
No similarity of this association with any others
introduced before has ever been found.
e association was connected to Taneceto
orientali-Astragalion gummiferi all. nov.,
alliance of Astragalo microcephali-Brometea
tomentelli Quézel 1973 class.
