JELLY SCULPTURE
Now, if you want to make a jelly sculpture, it's very simple and similar to making
gummy sweets. You will need the following material:
• A packet of powdered jelly
• Jelly moulds or fun shaped containers
• A measuring spoon
• Sugar
• Food colouring
• A cup of cold water
• A cup of warm water
• A bowl
Pour a cup of cold water into the bowl and sprinkle the powdered jelly over the
water. Add ¼ of a cup of sugar and a cup of warm water, then stir well until it
dissolves. Add 4 drops of food colouring and mix again. Then, pour the mix into
different moulds and place it in the freezer until it sets. Jelly is a very peculiar
substance: It is liquid in warm water but, when chilled, it becomes semi-solid.
Pick some petals from different flowers. Fill one of the test tubes in the mini
laboratory to the number 4 mark. Using the funnel and the beaker, add
warm water, just enough to cover the petals. Close the tube and wait for 1
hour. Open and smell!
