A family home since 1865, Beau Rivage has crossed<br />

the centuries without ever ceasing to evolve. Under the<br />

dynamic guidance of its many directors, all members<br />

of the same family, the hotel has successfully grown<br />

and innovated whilst standing in the tradition of great<br />

hotels.<br />

5th generation director Alexandre Nickbarte is intent<br />

to “help the House develop as it has done for the past<br />

150 years, whilst efficiently innovating”.<br />

A graduate from the Ecole Hôtelière Lausanne and<br />

holder of a MBA in digital marketing, Alexandre has<br />

worked for several international businesses. His<br />

eclectic professional path allows him to approach<br />

projects under a different perspective and, when he<br />

joined the family firm in 2010, he brought with him<br />

youth, an external perspective and ground breaking<br />

ideas.<br />

In the spirit animating the Mayer family, Alexandre<br />

wants to preserve the spirit of his ancestors whilst<br />

adding a modern touch. Today, he is steering a project<br />

to renovate 25 rooms and 8 new suites that face the<br />

lake and all have a very specific atmosphere. “It is a<br />

destination within the destination”, he likes to say.<br />

He is also busy with the revamp of the gastronomic<br />

restaurant hand in hand with Chef Dominique<br />

Gauthier and restaurant manager Vincent Debergé,<br />

in order to reorganise the dining area to trigger<br />

discovery and surprise and to offer its clients a unique,<br />

comprehensive experience at Le Chat Botté.<br />

Today, the hotel boasts 15 suites, including two<br />

Presidential Suites offering unparalleled views over<br />

the lake and water jets. Measuring between 90 and<br />

250 m2, the suites are adjacent and communicate,<br />

offering various configurations to fulfil the particular<br />

requirements of the guests.<br />

Food-wise, there are 3 restaurants at the hotel. In<br />

addition to the famed Michelin starred gastronomic<br />

restaurant Le Chat Botté, which will soon celebrate its<br />

fiftieth birthday, the hotel also houses a gastronomic<br />

Thai restaurant and a bar/restaurant open each day.<br />

Now that summer is on its way, the terrace opens<br />

for the greatest pleasure of diners who will be able to<br />

enjoy the good weather. Clients can enjoy a drink or<br />

some food whilst admiring Geneva, its lake, the water<br />

jet and the Mont-Blanc massif.<br />

The Director is already planning works to refurbish<br />

the bar and public areas. The goal of the hotel is to<br />

continuously reinvent itself to keep hold of its unique<br />

atmosphere, making it a timeless, pleasant living area.<br />
