The Domaine Pieretti on the hillsides of the Cap is a unique terroir on
Corsica, due to its isolation, its clay-shale soil and its special association
with the sea and maquis.Today, Lina Venturi manages the domain she
inherited from her father. Her family began wine growing in the 16 th
century and the estate continues in its perpetual quest for excellence.
The wine grower produces white, rosé, red and Muscat wines that
express vibrant mineral tones with great delicacy, thanks to sustainable
growing methods and exceptional climatic conditions: sun, strong
winds, little rain.
On the eleven hectares of the three mini terroirs of Pietracorbara, Santa
Severa and Meria, Lina produces her elixir in small quantities: 50,000
bottles per year. The reds pay tribute to Alicante, a traditional grape
variety from Cap Corse which is similar to a Grenache noir, especially
in the remarkable “A Murteta” which has leather, grilled and liquorice
notes. The “Vermentino” variety produces dry and crystalline whites.
The Domaine cuvée is sunny and mineral and the Marine cuvée is
elegant with iodine flavours. The delicate Muscat is a perfect combination
of light unctuosity and vitality.
