Silhouette sous les toisLes citrouilles rosesVoilà un artiste passionné qui nous pousse résolument àprendre une belle goulée d’air frais grâce à ses œuvreschaleureuses et sincères.« Dans le climat actuel, il est d’autant plus essentiel dese changer les idées et d’en prendre plein les yeux et lecœur » explique-t-il, nous entraînant avec ses toiles auxconfins de notre imaginaire.Michel Marant possède son style propre avec ses ligneset ses formes qui s’enchevêtrent, ses jeux de perspectiveset son amour des émaux, des vitraux.Depuis quelques semaines, il travaille sur une nouvellesérie, s’inspirant de ces villages pittoresques aux maisonscomme superposées, abritant souvent un café ou unrestaurant, un espace convivial synonyme de bonheur, dejoie de vivre, de légèreté.Il insuffle à ses œuvres cette ambiance du début du20èe siècle avec ses guinguettes et ses rires, s’amusantà structurer et déstructurer l’image avec ces ruestortueuses, ces arbres stylisés pour nous transporter dansun monde où il fait bon vivre !Here is a passionate artist who resolutely urges usto catch a breath of fresh air through his warm andsincere creations.“In today’s world, it is vital to take our minds off thingsand fill our eyes and hearts with ideas”, he explains,taking us to the edge of our own fantasies with hisartworks.Michel Marant demonstrates his distinctive stylethrough tangled lines and shapes, a perfect use ofperspective and an undying passion for enamels andstained glass.For the past few weeks, he has been working on anew series, drawing his inspiration from picturesquevillages where houses are superimposed, and whichoften house a café or a restaurant, a convivial spaceassociated with happiness, joie de vivre and simplicity.Using guinguettes and laughter, he breathes an early20th century atmosphere into his works, playing withthe structure and deconstruction of images of windingstreets and stylised trees to transport us into a worldwhere life (still) feels good!43
