S’exprimant par la peinture depuis son plus jeune
âge, formée à Penninghen et aux Beaux-Arts de Paris,
directrice artistique de métier, Emmanuelle Prissette n’a
jamais cessé de peindre, passionnée par « cette part
d’aléatoire et d’humanité qui réside
dans la peinture ».
Grâce à sa formation académique,
l’artiste possède les outils pour cultiver
sa liberté de créer, d’imaginer, de
pousser ses pinceaux hors des sentiers
battus.
Ses abstractions souvent qualifiées
de lyriques, voire d’architectoniques,
sont une ode à la gestuelle, à l’énergie
dégagée sur les toiles, oscillant toujours
entre douceur et puissance.
Avec les tableaux d’Emmanuelle
Prissette, le spectateur se laisse
emporter par ces vagues et ces
montagnes qui semblent surgir d’un
autre monde laissant ainsi toute la place
à l’imagination et à l’émotion.
« Je peins avec mes tripes », nous explique la peintre qui
joue avec la lumière, les transparences, les contrastes
pour sublimer son impulsion première, celle qui lui a
donné le déclic pour commencer une nouvelle œuvre,
l’âme véritable du tableau…
Expressing herself through painting since she was very
young, educated at Penninghen and at Paris’ Fine
Arts Academy, and an artistic director by profession,
Emmanuelle Prissette has never once stopped painting,
impassioned by “that piece of
randomness and humanity that dwells in
painting”.
Through her academic background, the
artist holds the tools to cultivate her
freedom of creation, of imagination, of
pushing her paintbrushes off the beaten
track.
Often described as lyrical or even
architectural, her abstractions represent
an ode to the energy and movement
released on the canvas, forever oscillating
between softness and strength.
When viewing Emmanuelle Prissette’s
paintings, spectators let themselves
be carried away by the waves and
mountains that seem to emerge from

another world, leaving plenty of room
for imagination and emotion.
“I paint with my guts”, explains the painter who toys with
light, transparencies, and contrasts to sublimate her first
impulse, that which gave her the impetus to start a new
piece of work, the genuine soul of the painting.
