Riset operasional ini akan mengembangkanmodel upaya pembasmian yangdilakukan di Kabupaten/Kota endemis terhadappenyakit negleted tersebut se pertiKabupaten Timur Tengah Selatan (PropinsiNTT), Kabupaten Manggarai (PropinsiNTT), dan Kabupaten Bekasi (JawaBarat). Tujuan umum penelitian ini adalahmengembangkan model terintegrasi upayapemberantasan penyakit menular tropisyang terabaikan (kusta, frambusia dan filariasis)dengan menggunakan pendekatanmenyeluruh dan terpadu melalui peningkatanperan serta masyarakat.Sesuai dengan pendapat respondenmasyarakat bahwa orang yang berpengaruhterhadap masyarakat adalah ketua RT/RWatau lingkungan dan petugas kesehatan.Lebih dari 50% responden mendapatkaninformasi tentang penyakit melalui siarantelevisi. Sehingga perlu dipikirkan kesempatanini untuk menyampaikan informasikepada masyarakat. Pelaksanaan programdimulai dengan melatih tenaga kesehatandi tingkat puskesmas untuk pemberantasanpeyakit neglected yang melibatkan 3 orangpetugas per puskesmas (1 orang dokter, 1orang dari promkes dan 1 orang dari pemberantasanpenyakit). Membentuk tenagakader neglected di masyarakat sebanyak 1orang per lingkungan. Penemuan kasus olehkader neglected dan dibawa ke puskesmas,pemetaan kasus ketiga penyakit sekaligus,pengobatan kasus di puskesmas. Penyuluhanke masyarakat di tiap desa kepada tokohmasyarakat dan juga pada sekolah di kegiatanUKS atau kunjungan sekolah: tentangpenyakit neglected, kebersihan lingkungandan kebersihan pribadi (hidup sehat), eliminasidan eradikasi penyakit.In the past three decades, Indonesiahas undergone rapid progress in thedevelopment of public health, which wascharacterized by improvement in macroeconomicindicators the social welfare sector(including health), an increasing GDPper capita, an improving level of publichealth, the reduction of poor nutritionalstatus, increased life expectancy, declininginfant mortality rates, declining maternalmortality rates, increasing range of facilitiessanitation including clean water. In additionto neglected diseases in the eastern Indonesiaregion there is also an increase in noncommunicablediseases and degenerativediseases.Operational research will develop amodel of eradication efforts to be undertakenin the District / City with negletedendemic diseases, such as Eastern Districtof South Central (NTT Province), Manggarai(NTT Province), and the District Bekasi(West Java). The general objective of thisstudy was to develop an integrated modelof eradicating neglected tropical infectiousdiseases (leprosy, yaws and filariasis) usingcomprehensive and integrated approachthrough increased community participation.In accordance with the opinion of thepublic respondent that the effect on society isthe RT / RW or the environment and healthworkers. More than 50% of respondentsget information about the disease throughtelevision broadcasts. So there is a need tothink about this opportunity to convey informationto the public. Implementation ofthe program begins with training of healthworkers in the health centers for the eradicationof neglected disease involving threepeople per clinic staff (1 doctor, 1 person and1 person from Promosi Kesehatan of eradicatingthe disease). The program will be expandedto establish a cadre personnel forneglected diseases in the communitywith 1person per neighborhood. The discovery ofthe case by a cadre of neglected disease willbe taken to a health clinic, as well as mappingthe third case of disease, treatmentof cases in health centers.
