gABriele BASilico (Milano, 1944). È uno dei più noti fotografi documentaristi europei, i suoi campi d’azione privilegiati sono il paesaggio industriale e le aree urbane. Lavora per lo più con banco ottico e pellicole in bianco e nero. Celebre il suo lavoro su Beirut, fotografata dopo la guerra. He is one of the most well-known European documentary photographers; his preferred fields of action are industrial landscapes and urban areas. È inoltre direttore editoriale della collana Supercontemporanea di Electa. He is an Italian art curator and critic who has obtained American citizenship. He is presently Manilow Senior Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, and Artistic Director of the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (Turin), Pitti Immagine Discovery (Florence) and Azienda Culturale Villa Manin (Codroipo). He is also Editorial Director of Electa’s Supercontemporanea collection. AndreA BrAnzi (Firenze, 1938). Considerato tra i maggiori esponenti del design neomoderno, è tra i fondatori di Domus Academy, scuola di design di Milano. Ha vinto numerosi premi tra i quali il Compasso d’oro nel 1987. Nel 2008 ha ricevuto la Laurea Honoris Causa in Disegno Industriale dalla Facoltà di Architettura Ludovico Quaroni dell’Università di Roma La Sapienza. È professore ordinario alla Facoltà di Design del Politecnico di Milano, dove attualmente insegna. Considered one of the greatest exponents of neomodern design, he is one of the founders of Domus Academy, a design school in Milan. He has won numerous prizes, including the Golden Compass in 1987. In 2008 he received a honorary degree in Industrial Design from the Ludovico Quaroni Faculty of Architecture at La Sapienza University of Rome. È stato critico cinematografico per la Repubblica, Sette del Corriere della Sera e per La Voce di Indro Montanelli. Attualmente è il responsabile delle recensioni cinematografiche nell’inserto culturale Saturno in edicola ogni venerdì con Il Fatto Quotidiano. È docente di Teoria e critica del cinema e Filmologia presso la Libera Università di Lingue e Comunicazione IULM di Milano, nonchè preside della Facoltà di Comunicazione, relazioni pubbliche e pubblicità presso la stessa università. At present he’s in charge of film review in SATURNO, the cultural insert on the newsstand every Friday with IL FATTO QUOTIDIANO. Fondata nel 1996 dall’estro creativo dei gemelli canadesi Dean e Dan Caten, nati a Toronto nel 1965, DSquared2 è uno dei pochissimi marchi fondati da stranieri presenti all’interno della Camera nazionale della moda italiana. Le collezioni evidenziano lo stile dei due gemelli tipicamente street world. I capi sono ispirati al modo spigliato e disimpegnato del vestire nordamericano. Nelle sue ultime composizioni con pellicole istantanee è arrivato a comporre mosaici di oltre trecento foto-tessere. Privilegia la fotografia di ricerca attraverso il concetto del ritmo e del movimento. Michele mAri (Milano, 1955). È uno scrittore italiano. Figlio del designer e artista Enzo Mari, insegna letteratura Italiana all’Università Statale di Milano. Dal 1992 risiede a Roma. The son of Enzo Mari, designer and artist, he teaches Italian Literature at the State University of Milan. Since 1992 he’s been living in Rome. In 2010 he published his latest book entitled Demoni e la Pasta Sfoglia. AnTonio mArrAS (Alghero, 1961). Stilista italiano che si è affermato nel mondo della moda internazionale per le sue creazioni originali ed uno stile tutto personale legate alla cultura sarda fatta di materiali semplici e tradizionali ed arricchiti da sue elaborazioni. La sua fama è ormai legata anche al fatto che per i suoi meriti è stato nominato direttore artistico del marchio dalla maison francese Kenzo.
