organic warmth of the originals. Part of their<br />
unique approach was to introduce a lot of<br />
traditional 2D animation choices into the CGI<br />
realm. During the summer, they began the final<br />
animation process. They had never animated<br />
using a dedicated CGI programme and found<br />
that there was quite a learning curve. Having<br />
time to explore and study helped Ru to acquire<br />
a new technique and it has been a great<br />
learning experience. They are very proud of the<br />
direction of the new film and are looking forward<br />
to wrapping the production up by autumn, 2013.<br />
Ru has also made a comic series called STUCK IN<br />
THE MIDDLE in which she explored the differences<br />
among Dutch, American and Japanese cultures.<br />
This has helped her to observe and question<br />
Dutch culture more.<br />
