Hoje perdoar, isto é, a expressão simbólica
pensar e experimentar a Verdade. Por isso resulta ser uma experiência
fundamentalmente | religiosa.
sugere.
Summary
Today, Western culture is dominated by nihilism. By the end of the XIX century,
nihilism was already critically perceived by relevant poets, etc. In the framework of this
nihilistic culture, which implies a certain type of metaphysics and anthropology,
language is considered to be meaningful as far as it is the expression of a logical
structure. Beyond this logical structure there is no place for meaning. Today forgiving,
i.e. the symbolic expression of a renewed relationship with the truth (with God, with
other people, with oneself and with nature), remains out of consideration. To forgive is
something gratuitous that can be only understood, expressed and experienced in the
framework of a relationship between an individual and the truth. According to this,
forgiving means to face the challenge of thinking and experiencing Truth. Therefore, it
is basically a religious experience. In these pages, the author offers an approach to the
experience of forgiving with full knowledge of the difficulties posed by current times.
