Começou muito nova. Acha que teve uma infância normal
na medida do possível?
É difícil responder essa pergunta porque não sei como
seria se não fosse assim. Então acho que não atrapalhou
em nada. Claro que não pude estar em todas as festas do
pijama e em todos os passeios da escola, mas estava fazendo
outra coisa que amava muito. Não sinto que perdi
algo. Pelo contrário, ganhei muita coisa.
Escolheu o que queria ser muito cedo, decisão que às vezes
é difícil até para quem é mais velha. Como foi?
Foi por acaso. Não decidi. Um dia acordei, não sei porque
e pedi para minha mãe me levar em uma agência de modelo
para fazer um book. Ela me perguntou se queria ser
cantora ou atriz, e na verdade não queria, só queria ter fotos
bonitas para ver quando fosse mais velha. Ela me levou à
agência, fiz um book, um curso e eles começaram a me
chamar para testes, o primeiro foi o do Hoje é Dia de Maria.
Minha carreira foi acontecendo, não foi uma decisão.
No próximo longa que você começa a gravar em junho
deste ano, terá que aprender um sotaque de Belém (PA).
Qual foi a coisa mais difícil que já teve que aprender ou
fazer para um personagem?
Nossa, tive que fazer muitas coisas. Em Caminho das
Índias, por exemplo, aprendi danças bollywoodianas e
indianas. Para o longa Encantados, tive aula de lundu,
dança de Belém que deu origem ao Carimbó. Tive aula
de equitação, nado sincronizado com a técnica da seleção
brasileira, capoeira...
Pode adiantar um pouco sobre o filme: Eu, Nirvana?
Ele conta a história dessa menina, a Nirvana, que sofreu
um acidente de barco enquanto estava viajando para Belém,
e ela fica em coma muito tempo. Quando ela acorda,
não se lembra de nada, não sabe nem quem é a família
dela e o pior, ela não consegue dormir e fica delirando
pelo hospital de noite. O filme é sobre a interação dela
com outros personagens. A Dira Paes não é a mãe dela no
filme, mas faz a figura de mãe, ela também está internada
no hospital. Começaremos a gravar em junho e deve ser
lançado no final deste ano.
Esse é o quinto trabalho que fará com a Dira Paes. Rola
uma química entre vocês?
You started out very young. Do you think that you had a
normal childhood as much as was possible?
It’s hard to answer that question because I don’t know what
it would have been like if it weren’t so. So I guess my choice
didn’t get in the way. Of course, I couldn’t go to all the girls’
pijama parties and on all the school tours, but I was doing
something else that I very much loved. I don’t feel like I missed
out on anything. On the contrary, I got a lot more.
You chose what you wanted to be very early, a decision that
it is sometimes difficult even for those who are older. What
was it like?
It was by chance. I didn’t decide. One day, I woke up, and I
don’t know why, I asked my mom to take me to a modeling
agency to make a book. She asked me whether I wanted to
be a singer or actress, and actually, I just wanted to have
pretty pictures to look at when I was older. She took me to
an agency, I made a book and took a course and they started
calling me for tests, the first was for Hoje é Dia de Maria. My
career went on from there, it wasn’t a decision.
In your next film, which begins filming in June of this year,
you will have to learn a Belém accent. What was the hardest
thing you ever had to learn or do for a character?
Wow, I have had to do a lot of things. In Caminho das Índias
(Path of the Indies), for example, I learned bollywood speak
and Indian dances. For the film, Encantados, I took lundu
lessons, a Belém dance that gave rise to Carimbó. I have taken
riding, synchronized swimming from the Brazilian team coach,
capoeira lessons ...
Can you tell us a little about the film Eu, Nirvana?
It tells the story of this girl, Nirvana, who suffered a boat accident
while she was traveling to Belém, and she was left in a
coma for a long time. When she woke up, she didn’t remember
anything, she didn’t know who her family was and what’s
worse, she couldn’t sleep and becomes a little delirious in
the hospital at night. The movie is about her interaction with
other characters. Dira Paes is not actually her mother in the
film, but takes on the mother figure, she was also admitted
to the hospital. We will start filmng in June and it should be
released at the end of this year.
This is the fifth work that you will do with Dira Paes. What
is the chemistry like between the two of you?
