m agosto do ano passado, a Fibria iniciou as operações
da nova linha de produção de celulose
em Três Lagoas (MS). Quem observa o Projeto
Horizonte 2, ou somente H2, em ação já imagina
o enorme esforço logístico para a operacionalização do empreendimento,
mas principalmente para o abastecimento da
nova planta. Conversamos com Caio Zanardo, diretor florestal
da companhia, que contou os bastidores da preparação que
a área realizou para dar suporte à estrutura que recebeu R$
7,345 bilhões em investimentos, plantio de 162 mil ha (hectare)
e produziu mais de 377 mil t (toneladas) de celulose de
eucalipto até o fim do ano passado.

n August of last year, Fibria started up operations of a
new pulp production unit in Três Lagoas. For those who
now see the Horizon Project 2 (or as it is called H2) in
action can imagine the enormous logistical effort for
the operationalization of the project, but especially that for the
supply of raw material for the new unit. We talked with Caio
Zanardo, Director of Forestry for the Company, who told us
about the behind the scenes in the preparations that his area
carried out to support the new structure. R$ 7.345 billion were
invested in the new industrial unit, and 162,000 hectares (ha)
of forests were planted to support the more than 377,000 mt of
eucalyptus pulp produced by the end of last year.
