Prestes a completar quinze anos, o Cipem (Centro<br />
das Indústrias Produtoras e Exportadoras de Madeira<br />
do Estado de Mato Grosso) vem mostrando<br />
sua importância para o setor florestal brasileiro,<br />
trazendo ações fundamentais para o desenvolvimento<br />
do ramo de madeira nativa.<br />
Surgido a partir da ideia de unir todos os segmentos da<br />
indústria florestal mato-grossense, a instituição conta com<br />
um terço de todas as empresas de base florestal do estado,<br />
com o impressionante número de 500 associados. Toda<br />
essa estrutura é fornecida pela união de oito sindicatos. São<br />
eles: Simas (Sindicato dos Madeireiros de Sorriso); Simava<br />
(Sindicato Intermunicipal das Indústrias Madeireiras do Vale<br />
do Arinos); Simenorte (Sindicato dos Madeireiros do Extremo<br />
Norte de Mato Grosso); Simno (Sindicato das Indústrias<br />
Madeireiras e Moveleiras do Noroeste de Mato Grosso);<br />
Sindiflora (Sindicato Intermunicipal das Indústrias de Base<br />
Florestal); Sindilam (Sindicato das Indústrias de Laminados<br />
e Compensados do Estado de Mato Grosso), Sindinorte<br />
(Sindicato das Indústrias Madeireiras do Médio Norte do<br />
Estado de Mato Grosso) e o Sindusmad (Sindicato das In-<br />

About to turn 15, the State of Mato Grosso Center<br />
for Forest Product <strong>Industrial</strong> Producers and<br />
Exporters (Cipem) has demonstrated its importance<br />
to the Brazilian Forest Sector, carrying out<br />
fundamental activities for the development of<br />
the native wood segment.<br />
Cipem emerged from the idea of uniting all segments<br />
of the forest-product industrial segment in the State of<br />
Mato Grosso, which accounts for one-third of all forest-based<br />
businesses in the State, with an impressive number of<br />
members, 500. This structure is provided by the bringing<br />
together of eight employer trade syndicates. They are: the<br />
Sorriso Syndicate of Timber Producers (Seamus); the Arinos<br />
Valley Intermunicipal Syndicate of <strong>Industrial</strong>ized Timber<br />
Companies (Simava); the Far North State of Mato Grosso<br />
Syndicate of Timber Producers (Simenorte); the Northwestern<br />
State of Mato Grosso Syndicate of <strong>Industrial</strong>ized Timber and<br />
Furniture Making Companies (Simno); the Intermunicipal<br />
Syndicate of Forest-based Companies (Sindiflora); the State<br />
of Mato Gross Syndicate of Veneer and Plywood Producers<br />
