Distrofia oculo-faringianli. Este 0 boala dominant autosomala ce apare
de obicei dupa 60 de ani §i este caracterizata prin ptoza-palpebrala bilaterala,
urmata de disfagie superioara de intensitate u§oara. Simptomul este secundar
afectarii musculaturii faringiene. Activitatea In SES este normaliL Se
observa 1nsa 0 u§oara lntilrziere a bariului in faringe. Tratamentul cu antagoni§ti
ai colinesterazei amelioreaza simptomatologia.
Miastenia gravis. Aproximativ 2/3 din cazuri prezinta disfagie orofaringiana.
Deglutitia este initial normala, dar este urmata de dificu1tatea de a
manca, de a forma bolusul alimentar. La examen'.ll radiologic se constata
staza de bariu in recesurile faringiene, balonizarea faringelui, regurgitatii. Traseul
manometric indica scaderea tonusului bazal in SES, dar relaxarea sa este
normala.
Uneori afectiunile inflamatorii acute sau cronice, situate in apropierea
orofaringelui pot declan§a tulburm esofagiene nespecifice.
