Health’s Indigenization Action Plan in Health Industries,<br />
sets an important model in the country with the Bursa<br />
Karacabey facility that it opened by taking the second<br />
step in localization.<br />
At the Nestlé Health Science factory, which started<br />
production with an annual capacity of 9 thousand tons,<br />
3 thousand 500 tons of products have been produced<br />
since the beginning of production. Nestlé Health Science,<br />
which plans to double its production thanks to the<br />
capacity increase to be realized in May <strong>2023</strong>, will reach a<br />
capacity of 16 thousand tons.<br />
By the end of the year, it is aimed to produce 29 enteral<br />
nutrition products in 8 different product groups in the<br />
Karacabey factory. Nestlé Health Science, which produces<br />
scientific-based solutions in the field of malnutrition and<br />
malnutrition, which occurs as a result of the deficiency or<br />
malabsorption of one or more important nutrients taken<br />
with a suitable diet, aims to close an important gap in this<br />
field with its Karacabey factory.<br />
At the Karacabey Factory, which attaches the utmost<br />
importance to the use of renewable energy sources,<br />
it is planned that most of the energy activities will be<br />
obtained from solar energy. Nestlé Health Science’s nearfuture<br />
goal in this regard is to continue its activities with<br />
100% solar energy.<br />

Hanzade Yaz, General Manager of Nestlé Health Science<br />
<strong>Türkiye</strong>, who delivered a speech at the meeting held due<br />
to the visit of the Turkish Society of Clinical Enteral &<br />
Parenteral Nutrition (KEPAN) to the Karacabey factory,<br />
said, “As Nestlé Health Science <strong>Türkiye</strong>, we started<br />
our activities in 2007. With each passing year, we have<br />
displayed steady growth. With our products, we respond<br />
to the needs of healthcare professionals, patients and<br />
consumers in <strong>Türkiye</strong>, and we continue to strengthen<br />
our leading position in the fields of enteral nutrition<br />
and consumer health. One of the most important<br />
developments that will accelerate our growth was the<br />
opening of our Bursa Karacabey production facility,<br />
which is a very big step we have taken in line with our<br />
targets of localization in production, and which is also<br />
the first enteral nutrition products factory of <strong>Türkiye</strong>.<br />
The incentive provided by the T.R. Ministry of Industry<br />
and Technology within the scope of the priority support<br />
program for the pharmaceutical sector and we opened<br />
our Bursa Karacabey enteral nutrition products factory,<br />
which we laid the foundations of in 2020 with the official<br />
permission from the T.R. Ministry of Health, in July 2022.<br />
The amount of investment we made in our factory, which<br />
aims to contribute to our country and strengthen the<br />
presence of enteral nutrition in <strong>Türkiye</strong>, reached 433<br />
million TL. Our factory, which started production with<br />
an annual production capacity of 9 thousand tons, has<br />
başlayan Nestlé Health Science, açılışını yaptığı Bursa<br />
Karacabey tesisiyle yerlileşme konusunda ikinci adımı<br />
atarak ülkede önemli bir örnek teşkil ediyor.<br />
Yıllık 9 bin ton kapasite ile üretime başlayan Nestlé Health<br />
Science fabrikasında üretimin başladığı günden bu yana<br />
3 bin 500 ton ürün üretildi. <strong>2023</strong> yılının Mayıs ayında<br />
gerçekleştirilecek kapasite artışı sayesinde üretimini<br />
yaklaşık iki katına çıkarmayı planlayan Nestlé Health<br />
Science, 16 bin ton kapasiteye ulaşacak.<br />
Karacabey fabrikasında; yıl sonuna kadar ise 8 farklı<br />
ürün grubunda 29 enteral beslenme ürününün üretimi<br />
hedefleniyor. Özellikle uygun bir beslenme ile alınan<br />
bir veya daha fazla önemli besin öğesinin eksikliği veya<br />
emiliminin bozukluğu sonucunda oluşan malnütrisyon<br />
ve yetersiz beslenme alanında bilimsel bazlı çözümler<br />
üreten Nestlé Health Science, Karacabey fabrikası ile bu<br />
alanda önemli bir açığı kapatmayı hedefliyor.<br />
Yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarının kullanımına en üst<br />
düzey önemi gösteren Karacabey Fabrikası’nda enerji<br />
faaliyetlerinin büyük bir kısmının güneş enerjisinden<br />
elde edilmesi planlanıyor. Nestlé Health Science’ın<br />
bu konudaki yakın gelecek hedefi ise yüzde 100 güneş<br />
enerjisiyle faaliyetlerine devam etmek.<br />

Karacabey fabrikasına yaptığı ziyaret sebebiyle düzenlenen<br />
toplantıda konuşan Nestlé Health Science <strong>Türkiye</strong> Genel<br />
