Zalew to sztuczne jezioro,<br />
utworzone w latach 1969–74<br />
na Pilicy za pomocą tamy<br />
o długości 1200 m, zajmuje<br />
powierzchnię ponad 2700<br />
hektarów, ma 17 kIilometrów<br />
długości i zróżnicowaną szerokość<br />
(do 3,5 km).<br />
To płytkie jezioro mające maksymalnie<br />
10 m. głębokości. Pełni również funkcje retencyjną<br />
i regulacyjną, energetyczną oraz<br />
rekreacyjną, jest rajem dla wędkarzy, można<br />
na nim uprawiać sporty wodne (kajakarstwo,<br />
a zwłaszcza żeglarstwo).<br />
Sulejow Reservoir Zalew Sulejowski is<br />
an artificial lake made in 1969–1974 with a<br />
dam that was 1200 m long. The lake spreads<br />
over the area of 2700 hectares, is 17km long<br />
and its variable width can reach to 3.5m. It<br />
is a shallow lake, whose maximum depth is<br />
10 m. The main functions of the Sulejow Reservoir<br />
are: retention and regulation, energy<br />
production and recreation. It is a fishermen<br />
paradise where you can also practise water<br />
sports enjoying its excellent conditions for<br />
canoeing and especially for sailing.<br />
