viscose staple fibre, and acrylic fibre and its consistent availability over
the short to medium term is not at risk.

Cotton fibre which constitutes approximately 4% of our raw material is
becoming increasingly scarce, and this could be displaced by increasing
the use of rayon fibre. Thus we aim to continue our best efforts in use
of renewable and recovered materials.
Our material policy ensures conservation, use of renewable, recovered
and recycled material, and low environment foot print. We strive hard
and put best of efforts to improve our material use efficiency
Our focus has been to improve the yield of our spinning process by
focusing on process waste reductions. In order to achieve this objective,
we installed a new technology in ring frame machines, wherein, when
the spun yarn is broken, roving feed is stopped automatically thereby
reducing the generation of roving waste in ring frames. This amounts
to a whopping 70% improvement in roving waste generation. Another
action we have initiated to recycle process waste is that we are re-using
some of the process wastes to make cotton based yarns in open end
machine. This has resulted in reduction of 83MT of process material.
