ย่านเจริญกรุง 30 ตัดทะลุถนนสี่พระยา
ซอยนี้มีอาคารเก่าแก่ เช่น โกดังแดง อาคารอนุรักษ์ บ้าน
เลขที่1 ตรอกกัปตันบุช สถานทูตโปรตุเกส นับเป็นซอยแห่งอาร์ต
แกลลอรี ต่อมาจากศูนย์การค้าริเวอร์ซิตี้ ความน่าสนใจอยู่ที่
โกดังแดงและอาร์ตแกลอรีละแวกนั้น พอได้ยินว่า TCDC จะมา
เปิด แต่ละแห่งตัดสินใจรีโนเวทกันพอหอมปากหอมคอ (เซเลบ
ต่างชาติจะรู้ แต่เซเลบเมืองไทยอาจไม่รู้) จริงๆ ย่านนี้คึกคักมา
ก่อนแล้ว แต่การมาถึงของ TCDC เร็วๆ นี้ มีผลทําให้นักลงทุน
มั่นใจ มีกลุ่มลูกค้าใหม่เข้ามา และกลายเป็นพื้นที่ศิลปะและ
ความคิดสร้างสรรค์เต็มรูปแบบ สามารถพบเห็นสตรีตอาร์ต
สารพัดเทคนิคได้ในซอยนี้
Neighborhood of Charoen Krung 30 to Si Phraya
Road.
This Soi (alley) has lots of old buildings such as
Red Warehouse, the House number 1 on Captain Bush
alley, and the Embassy of Portugal. It is a real alley of art
galleries, continuing from the River City Shopping Center.
It is interesting that, after hearing about the upcoming
opening of TCDC, the Red Warehouse and nearby art
galleries decided to do some additional renovations (the
foreign celebrities will know, but Thai celebrities may not
know). This area was already a busy area, but the arrival
of TCDC results in high investor confidence. There will
be new groups of customers and this district will turn
into a full-fledged art and creativity space. You can see
all kinds of street arts in this alley.

ใต้สะพานสาทร
เราสองคนขี่จักรยานมาตั้งแต่10 ปีที่แล้ว ตอนแรกปั่นเพื่อ
สุขภาพ แต่ตอนนี้พบว่า เมื่อเราเคลื่อนที่ช้าลง เราก็จะเห็นราย
ละเอียดของสิ่งรอบข้างมากขึ้น ถ้ามาจากเอเชียทีค ใต้สะพาน
สาทรเราจะได้เห็นประวัติศาสตร์ที่น่าสนใจและมีความลึกซึ้ง แม้
หน้าตาภายนอกเหมือนตึกแถวยุคเก่า แต่นี่คือการเบ่งบานของ
พื้นที่ที่อยู่ข้างใน เราได้เห็นร้านสูท ร้านจิวเวลรี แกลอรีเล็กๆ ที่
ขายเฟอร์นิเจอร์ให้ฝรั่ง เวลาปั่นจักรยานลัดเลาะเข้าไปได้เจอ
รอยต่อแบบนี้ นี่เป็นสิ่งที่มีคุณค่า
ย่านเจริญกรุง ซอย 36-38
บริเวณที่เกิดขึ้นต่อจากโรงแรมโอเรียนเต็ล มี O.P. Place
ร้านค้าเก่าแก่แถวนั้นมีร้านบรรยากาศดีน่านั่งหลายร้านหมุนเวียน
เปลี่ยนไป ที่เด่นเห็นจะเป็นอาร์ตแกลลอรีและร้านจิวเวลรีเดินไป
จนสุดซอยเจริญกรุง 36 เป็นสถานีดับเพลิงบางรัก ซึ่งเป็นอาคาร
ร้างเก่าแก่ที่สวยมากๆ คนชอบไปถ่ายรูปกัน
Under Sathorn Bridge
Both of us began biking 10 years ago. In the beginning,
it was for good health. But now, we discover that if we
move slower, we can observe new details around us. If
we come from Asiatique, under Sathorn Bridge, we will
discover an interesting and profound history. Though the
outward appearances resemble an old-fashioned building,
it hides the blossoming of the spaces inside. We see suit
shops, jewellery stores, and small galleries selling furniture
to westerners. When we bike and find a transition like
this, it is invaluable.
Neighborhood of Charoen Krung Soi 36-38
This area is adjacent to the Oriental Hotel. There is
O.P. Place, an old store, and several places with a good
atmosphere to sit in. The prominent locations are an art
gallery and a jewellery store. If you walk to the end of
Charoen Krung 36, the Bang Rak Fire Station is there. It
is an old beautiful abandoned building that many people
like to take pictures of.
ตลาดน้อย
เลี้ยวผ่านสี่พระยาออกมา วกเข้าไปในตลาดน้อย ยังคง
ความเก่าแก่ของร้านรวงไว้เดินลัดเลาะเข้ามาทางแม่นํ้ำมีอะไร
น่าดูกว่า อาคารอนุรักษ์ธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์สาขาตลาดน้อย
โบสถ์วัดกาลหว่าร์ สําหรับเราตลาดน้อยยังคงเหมือนสถานที่ที่
ถูกฟรีซไว้ไม่มีอะไรเปลี่ยนแปลงเลย เหมือนได้ย้อนยุคไปเมื่อ
40-50 ปีที่แล้ว
Talad Noi (literally means ‘small market’)
Turning out of Si Phraya, let’s go into the Talad Noi
neighborhood, where stores still remain in an old worn
condition. Walking toward the river, we see some more
attractive locations such as the conserved Siam Commercial
Bank Talad Noi branch building and Kalawar Church (or
Holy Rosary Church). It is as if Talad Noi froze and nothing
has changed; like being the era of 40-50 years ago.
