Our feet carry us through life. We walk, run, and dance on them.<br />

We also tend to forget about them, until they hurt!<br />

Keeping your feet happy and healthy should be part of your daily<br />

routine. The good news is that taking care of your feet daily can<br />

prevent most foot problems, and improve your overall health.<br />

Foot Care: A Long-Term <strong>Health</strong> Investment<br />

According to the American Podiatric Medical Association, each foot has 26 bones, held together<br />

by an interconnected framework of muscles, tendons and ligaments. They absorb the impact of<br />

your full body weight with every step. They also keep you balanced, and standing upright.<br />

Common foot-related problems can include cracked skin, fallen arches, foot odor, corns,<br />

ingrown toenails, fungal infections, and even damaged bones. All of these cause discomfort, and<br />

negatively impact our mobility .<br />

Many of us suffer from foot problems. In fact, surveys show that 61% of women and 30% of men<br />

report suffering from foot pain. Daily care ensures better long-term mobility and posture. As we<br />

age this is increasingly important.<br />
