Are we perfect in eye care?
Alcon showed its perfectionism and consistent success again on this subject with the
work it has done on eye care:

raise the quality of life, held
the 10th Excellence in Eye Care
Academy on March 23-25 at the
Swissôtel Büyük Efes Izmir with
the participation of specialists
in the field and assistant
ophthalmologists.
Alcon, a world leader in eye
health and a Novartis Group
company, has reached out to
1200 specialists and assistant
ophthalmologists to date with the
Excellence in Eye Care Academy
it has been continuing nonstop
in Turkey since 2009. In the
framework of this year’s scientific
program all principles of basic
soft contact applications were
conveyed to 150 specialists and
assistant ophthalmologists under
the moderation of 28 experienced
physician speakers. The training
program titled “Excellence in Eye
Care Academy” being organized
in Turkey for 10 years, is also
held in the 78 different countries
where Alcon actively operates.
18 different sessions and 2
panels took place in the 2 day
academy with enriched content
under the intense attention of
the participants. On the first
day there were sessions about
spherical, toric and multifocal
lens application principles for
diffraction disorders like Myopia,
Hypermetropia, Astigmatism and
Presbyopia in addition to training
about lens technology and the new
developments in the applications
and the session titled “An
Ophthalmologist a Psychiatrist”
about how to use lenses correctly
and express yourself healthy as
much as colorfully was greeted
with great interest. On the second
day of the scientific program
various case studies were
presented in the session called
“Optic Refraction, Contact Lens
Care and Solutions. The academy,
which continued in a pleasant
spring atmosphere, was concluded
with a certificate distribution
ceremony organized exclusively by
Alcon for the moderator doctors
and participants from all over
Turkey being hosted in Izmir.
Ophthalmologists, who participated
in the training, emphasized that
the academy was pioneering work
to promote healthy lens use and
added that this 2 day training held
every year was beneficial both to
them and their patients.
