Discovering an exceptional Master Chocolatier
At the Cheverny castle near the town of Bracieux, there is a very special
chocolate factory, the distinguished master chocolatier Max Vauché
carefully chooses the São Tomé cocoa beans for the manufacture of his
chocolate, he also owns a chocolate museum, allowing the public to
understand the process of the chocolate birth.
Auberge de la Croix Blanche, a rustic French restaurant
Auberge de la Croix Blanche is an authentic traditional French
restaurant along the Loire. Under the mulberry trees, like in your own
home, Emmanuelle and Jean Claude Sichi will make you taste the local
products from the market with traditional cooking methods. Here
you can enjoy mushrooms, asparagus; you can also try the oxtail with
French taste. Here you can buy packages which cost 25 €, 30 €, 35 €.
Le XII de Luynes, a quiet hotel
The charming hotel Le XII de Luynes classified as "Hôtel Relais du
Silence", is located at 10km from the city of Tours, more precisely at N°12
of rue République in Luynes. This quiet inn was built in the seventeenth
century, has nine rooms with a chic style, including double suites. Its
restaurant with Yoann Bourdais as the chef, is listed in the Michelin Bib
gourmand.
The Castle of Luynes belongs to the Duke of Luynes, their descendants
still live here but the castle is open to the public.

Domaine des Hauts de Loire is a rustic-style four-star hotel
surrounded by a pastoral landscape and located between Blois and
Amboise Castle. The hotel owns a Michelin two-star restaurant
with the very respected chef Rémy Giraud.

Bigot chocolate factory, visit and tasting
When we get out of the Ambroise Castle, we can directly enter in
the Bigot chocolate factory. Founded in 1913, the grandfather and
grandmother passed down the chocolate factory to their daughter and
grand-daughter. Among delicious other cakes, we can savour the Puits
D’amour cake – a creation of the grandfather, a fleur-de-lys (in chocolate
and pistachio) – in honour of Amboise.
