Akris originated in the Swiss town of St. Gallen. Since the
19th century, extraordinary crafts have gathered here.
And its fashion houses’ long-established manufacturers
have been the heart of the Swiss textile industry. Akris
the brand, in the hands of Ms. Alice Kriemler-Schoch, was
officially born in 1922.
In 1944, the son of Alice, Max Kriemler, inherited the
company and began to expand the international influence
of the brand. Today, it is the third generation of the
family who runs the business -- brothers Peter and Albert
Kriemler. Peter Kriemler is responsible for the business
development and the operations management. In 1980,
when Albert Kriemler was 20 years old, he joined the
family business to become the creative director and has
been in charge of the new product design and brand image
until now.

Albert Kriemler helmed the design for thirty years. Thanks
to his talent, he was awarded for his design expertise. Each
award is the affirmation of his fashion attitude. Now in
retrospect, his groundbreaking insights in every creation,
without exception, have always been successful -- "Style
is all about the woman; it's about her personality. You should
notice the woman first, and what she is wearing follows."
Wearing splendid clothes with very high heels, fashion
glamorous women have a hard time to complete their
daily work; strictly professional outfits can almost cause
irritability, stress and also make you look older. With

traditional seiko-like craftsmen and women
for decades.
