OF SUSTAINABLE KNOWLEDGE-BASED ECONOMY
Abstract
Sustainable development is considered as a global and supra-cultural enterprise that in a historical
and conceptual manner is based on reflections, views and knowledge resources of the contemporary
Western culture. The postulated cultural change requires constant making one
aware, discussing and global understanding. In order to achieve another (economical) way of
handling the natural environment, the present time and posterity it is necessary to make also
the revision of knowledge resources that are effective on a social level. It means the necessity of
considerable change of knowledge quality. The focal point, the key to sustainable development,
become forms of institutionalized production of knowledge, perception and cognitive approaches.
There is need to form an entirely new and different science on management – sustainable
economics.

Rozwój zrównoważony i społeczeństwo oparte na wiedzy to kluczowe toposy
współczesnych dyskursów z zakresu teorii i polityki społecznej. Oprócz zrównoważonego
gospodarowania i gospodarki opartej na wiedzy, obejmują one zagadnienia
istotne dla ekonomii 1 . Stopniowo, jako niezależny wymiar nauki o zrównoważonym
