High mountain trail
The merano high mountain trail is one of the most
breathtaking hiking paths in the entire alpine area.
it is a pathway that winds for nearly 80 km through
the natural park of the Texelgruppe/Tessa Group
of mountains and is located at a constant altitude
of around 1,400 metres above sea-level. There are
only two stretches that are consistently higher: northwards
to the eisjöchl/Passo Gelato (2,985 m) and
southwards to arrive at the Hochganghaus/Casa del
valico mountain hut (1,839 m).

anywhere between three and eight days of walking.
Hikers who are relatively fit can do the distance in
four or five days. The route is divided into a part that
heads south and a part that goes north. While the
northern part, which takes in the alpine valleys of
Pfossen/fosse and Pfelders/Plan and heads upwards
to eisjöchl/Passo Gelato at almost 3,000 m, can only

Wer einen neuen direkten Einstieg in den Meraner
Höhenweg sucht, der kann seit Ostern die neue texelbahn
nutzen. in knapp fünf Minuten überwindet die
Grün in Grün gehaltene Aufstiegsanlage 1000 Höhenmeter
von Partschins (620 m) hinauf zum Giggelberg
(1565 m). Auch architektonisch glänzen die tal- und
bergstationen der neuen Seilbahn. Der Giggelberg und
der Naturpark texelgruppe bieten sich hervorragend für
zahlreiche bergtouren und Wanderungen an. Die talstation

La funivia del tessa
Chi cerca un nuovo accesso diretto all’Alta Via di Merano
può servirsi della nuovissima funivia del tessa. in
meno di cinque minuti l’impianto di salita, verde nel verde,
supera i mille metri di dislivello da Parcines (620 m)
continuando a salire verso il Moncucco (1565 m).
Le stazioni a valle e a monte della nuova funivia brillano
anche da un punto di vista architettonico. il Moncucco
ed il parco naturale gruppo tessa si prestano in maniera
eccellente a tutta una serie di escursioni. La stazione a
valle si trova in via Ziel, esattamente a metà tra i paesi
