their own feeling and that is something personal.
After our visit in Vogelsang we went to Monschau.
On the bus ride we saw a whole different side of
the Eifel. Now we saw everything from above. All
the little towns, with the same style of houses. It
was just a Christmas card. It was really beautiful
and it reminded me of hot chocolate milk and biscuits.
So in Monschau we went to a bakery to get
some hot chocolate milk.
We went home and had the leave the beautiful
scenery, but we will always remember it.

Monschau
On the gloomy morning of tuesday we, the youth
and the teachers started the day with a trip to Vogelsang
and the city of Monschau. We were a little
skeptical in the beginning, not knowing what to
expect there but in the end things turned out to
be just fine.
As we arrived in Monschau we were allowed to
discover the beauty of this little town on our own,
having two hours at our disposal to just sightsee.
Interested in the history and traditions of this
town, we asked some locals about their city. They
informed us about the location, traditions and history
of Monschau.
Monschau is a delightful place nested in the hilly
forests of the High Fens region just two kilometers
across the Belgian border. What make its charm are
its narrow streets lined with half-timbered houses,
the views of the small River Rur or the panorama

from the surrounding hills.
At the end of the day everyone was satisfied about
the trip to Monschau due to the hospitability (ospitalitatea)
and coziness the city submitted.

Mona Lisa

The musical was about Mona Lisa and it dealt with
the question “Who stole Mona Lisa’s smile?”
It included many famous compositions and songs
in German but also in French. The cast consisted
two grown up woman and three teenage girls. The
main singer talked in German but also in English
as she adjusted for the international audience.
In my opinion the musical could have been better.
It disturbed me that the grown up singer tried to
have the attention all of the time, even when the
more shy teenage girls had to sing and she had
nothing to deal with it, she moved her lips and
danced around. She should have given the girls
some self-confidence instead of disturbing them.
But my highlight of the evening had nothing to
do with the musical or its cast. At the end of the
show one of the participants of the Euriade, a girl
from Russia, could sing Whitney Houston’s “I will
always love you”. I was really overwhelmed by her
soft and gentle voice, she was by far the best act
of the evening and I wished she could have sung
some more songs.

Am Abend des 15.Novembers haben wir das Konzert
der Sängerin und Entertainerin Daniela Bosenius
besucht.
Die dargebotene Show trug den Namen ‘Das
Lächeln der Mona -Lisa’ und umfasste ein sehr
großes Spektrum an Liedern und Performances
rund um Mona Lisa und die Geheimnisse in ihrem
Portrait. Begleitet wurde sie am Piano von Julia
Diedrich und unterstützt von Ihren Gesangs- und
Klavierschülerinnen. Neben ihrer Muttersprache
Deutsch spricht sie Englisch, Französisch und Italienisch
fließend, was ebenfalls ein Beispiel für
ihren hohen intellektuellen Stand ist.
