<strong>Euriade</strong> - a second visit from an<br />
other point of view<br />
This year I had the wonderful opportunity to participate<br />
in the international youth festival <strong>Euriade</strong><br />
“Youth in Dialogue”. In addition to the importance<br />
and richness of the program itself, I was particularly<br />
interested in this even because this time around<br />
I was here as a teaching assistant, while in 2007<br />
I participated as a student. Therefore, the festival<br />
five years later presented itself in a new light. In<br />
2007, Russia took part in such an event for the first<br />
time, and for our teachers and students this experience<br />
was a new one. Back then we were greatly<br />
impressed by the abbey Rolduc, its atmosphere,<br />
history, and beautiful scenery. We discussed various<br />
topics in the conference rooms, whereas the<br />
large talks took place in the Aula minor. Besides,<br />
then we didn’t have “lights out”, and in the eve-<br />

nings we could freely communicate with our new<br />
friends in a more relaxed atmosphere on our<br />
floor. Not disturbing the other guests who lived<br />
in Rolduc, of course. Therefore, the whole time<br />
we were surrounded by a foreign language, which<br />
was not only beneficial, but also interesting. And<br />
although the official language of <strong>Euriade</strong> was German<br />
at that time, you could hear other languages,<br />
such as English.<br />
This last festival our schedule was just as intensive<br />
as before with many trips, tons of positive experiences,<br />
and we made new personal connections.<br />
