(5) Der Einstieg in das Masterstudium kann sowohl im Winter- als auch im
Sommersemester erfolgen. Die Immatrikulation in die Studienrichtung A (§ 24 Abs. 1)
erfolgt im Wintersemester. Die Immatrikulation in die Studienrichtung B (§ 24 Abs. 1)
erfolgt im Sommersemester.
The access to the Master course can take place to the Winter as well as to the Summer
semester. The matriculation in the branch of study A (§ 24 clause 1) is every Winter
semester. The matriculation in the branch of study B (§ 24 clause 1) is every Summer
Semester.
(6) Die Regelstudienzeit, innerhalb der das Studium abgeschlossen werden soll,
beträgt vier Semester.
The number of terms prescribed for the completion of the study is 4 semester.
(7) Ist die Master-Prüfung bestanden, wird der Grad Master of Science (M.Sc.)
verliehen.
Upon successful passing of the Master’s examination the academic degree of “Master of
Science” (abbr.: MSc). will be awarded.

Leistungspunktsystem und Module
Credit points and modules
(1) Während des Studiums sind Leistungspunkte zu erwerben. Sie sind ein
quantitatives Maß für den mit dem Studium verbundenen zeitlichen Arbeitsaufwand
der Studierenden. Je Semester sind 30 Leistungspunkte zu erwerben; das entspricht
einem Arbeitsaufwand von etwa 900 Stunden. Der Erwerb von Leistungspunkten ist
an das Bestehen der jeweiligen Modulprüfung gebunden.
Credit points have to been acquired during the study. They are a quantitative measure for the
expenditure of time for the student. 30 Credit points should be acquired every Semester
which would be a expenditure of time of around 900 hours. The acquisition of credit points is
connected to the passing of the respective module examination.
(2) Das Studium gliedert sich in Module (§ 24 Abs. 1). Jedes Modul ist mit einer
Modulprüfung abzuschließen. Nach bestandener Modulprüfung werden die dem
jeweiligen Modul zugeordneten Leistungspunkte vergeben. Die Module umfassen
inhaltlich zusammenhängende Lehrveranstaltungen und erstrecken sich in der Regel
über ein Semester; in Ausnahmefällen kann sich ein Modul über zwei Semester
erstrecken. Die jeweiligen Lehr- und Lernformen der Module sind in der
Studienordnung und den Modulbeschreibungen aufgeführt.
The study is separate in modules (§ 24 clause 1). Every modules has to be finished with a
module examination. After passing the modules examination the respective credit points of
this module will be awarded. The modules comprise courses which are meaning is
connected and normally extend over on semester, in some cases a module can last two
semester. The teaching method is listed in the Condition of study and the Module Handbook.
