Fall Semester – “Recruitment- and Career management”
0) Process and strategies of application – from letter of application to
interview (with exercises)
1) The first 100 days in a company (“business etiquette”)
2) Field trip to job fair in Cologne incl. preparation (appr. end of
November)
3) Workshop on assessment-centres
4) Final presentations (mid of January)
Summer Semester – „Direct Practice“
5) All participants will be split into groups at the beginning of the unit.
Out of four company presentations, each group is in charge of one
presentation for one day.
In addition, further groups will be formed for presentations on our
department as well as our study courses, esp. BA Business Studies.
Roles and tasks should be distributed independently within the group.
These groups are only formed for this occasion and do not have to
comply with the groups of the company presentations which should
be rather based on interest.
6) Company presentations on companies which are participating in
orientation in vocational fields (4 days during one week, location:
university, appr. mid of May)
7) Interviews or industry-sector-specific case studies (location:
participating companies, group building of 5 students each), among
other things information about career opportunities for under-
/postgraduates in the field of economics, admission options and fields
of work (preparation for interviews incl. time arrangements with
companies within groups)
8) Debriefing of results in groups (individual group work, flexible
management of time/location)
Final presentations (power point presentations incl. written reports) with
attendance of a representative of each company (location: university,
appr. mid of July)

Aktive Teilnahme, Abschlusspräsentation
Sommersemester
aktive Teilnahme , zwei Referate plus Abschlussdokumentation in Form
einer kurzen schriftlichen synoptischen Ausarbeitung
