Projekt: Entwicklung eines Klassifikationsverfahrens
Projektleitung: Prof. Dr.-Ing. C. R. Rollinger
Projektbetreuung: Christian Heißing
Studentische Hilfskraft des Instituts: Th. Braun
Laufzeit: 10/2000 – 02/2001
Förderung: ICDM GmbH + CO. KG
Stichworte: Extraktion, Klassifikation, Taxonomie
In cooperation with the Laboratory for Neuromorphic Robotics and Synthetic Epistemology of the Institute
for Neuroinformatics of the University and ETH Zürich, Dr. Paul Verschure, we address the following general
questions:
1. What are the relations between learning and adaptation in animals and humans? and
2. How can studies on learning and adaptation profit from using mobile robots as modeling tools?
More specifically, we would like to join together research on learning of sensory and behavioral patterns in
humans, animals, and robots, to get towards an integrative model of learning and adaptation in autonomous
agents, implemented on a mobile robot. To achieve this objective, we will build on results and methods from
neuroscience, behavioral biology, psychology, artificial intelligence, philosophy and neuroscience.
