Recommendations<br />
The tables of BIBBs and objects /<br />
properties include an informative<br />
section with the requirements of<br />
the <strong>BACnet</strong> standard and the basic<br />
recommendations of AMEV<br />
to facilitate the decision making in<br />
<strong>BACnet</strong> projects. The project-specific<br />
requirements have to be entered<br />
by a client or his planner in<br />
the right column (project requirements).<br />

their testing and scoring can be<br />
problematic if necessary (e.g. incomplete<br />

The appliance of the basic AMEV<br />
recommendations should contrary<br />
affect the possible maximum<br />
equipment ambitions and the resulting<br />
restrictions of competition.<br />
Each client is allowed to provide<br />
project specific, advanced<br />
equipment in accordance with local<br />
needs and the current market<br />
situation.<br />
Update<br />
The AMEV took note of the Annex<br />
in September 2008 approvingly. At<br />
the same time, the AMEV decided<br />
to update the recommendations of<br />
the <strong>BACnet</strong> 2007 as soon as possible<br />
with a view to the meanwhile certified<br />
<strong>BACnet</strong> devices. The AMEV’s<br />
revised recommendations thus shall<br />
become a part of the new GAEB<br />
Annex.<br />
