the project-specific entries
from client and tenderer. This is
followed by the BIBB table of the
BACnet device. The dynamically
creatable and deletable objects are to
be stated on the next page (Figure 4)
followed by the table of the required
BACnet objects and properties, sorted
according to the object codes.
Recommendations
The tables of BIBBs and objects /
properties include an informative
section with the requirements of
the BACnet standard and the basic
recommendations of AMEV
to facilitate the decision making in
BACnet projects. The project-specific
requirements have to be entered
by a client or his planner in
the right column (project requirements).

problematic if necessary (e.g. incomplete
detailed information).
The appliance of the basic AMEV
recommendations should contrary

equipment ambitions and the resulting
restrictions of competition.
Each client is allowed to provide
project specific, advanced
equipment in accordance with local
needs and the current market
situation.
Update
The AMEV took note of the Annex
in September 2008 approvingly. At
the same time, the AMEV decided
to update the recommendations of
the BACnet 2007 as soon as possible
with a view to the meanwhile certified
BACnet devices. The AMEV’s
revised recommendations thus shall
become a part of the new GAEB
Annex.

Common Comittee for Electronic
Tendering in Construction (GAEB)
Chapter 070 Master Specification
for Building Automation and
Control Systems, led by Chairman
Jörg Balow (Hosch Building
Automation and Control Berlin) in
October 2008. The Annex is linked
with the specification texts of LB070
